Their story
Founded in 1989 in Avize by Marie-Hélène Larmandier and Vincent Waris, the house passed to their son Jean-Philippe after Vincent's death. He took charge in 2009, having trained with biodynamics pioneer Benoît Lahaye, and immediately began converting the 9 hectares to full Demeter certification (achieved 2020). He is joined by architect brother Pierre-Louis and sculptor-designer Inès, who created the estate's distinctive floral labels. Their Grand Cru vineyards span Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The Particules Crayeuses is barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and blended from multiple Grand Cru plots with a solera dating to 2013.
