If you want to experience the true Malbec (Côt), where it originally comes from, look no further, this intense dark wine, with red hue is so fruity, with dark cherry, dark dried plums and hints of wood. On the palate it is quite intense, but with some fattiness and bit of residual sugar, overall it is quite elegant and soft with a nice lenght.

The property bought in 2001 and converted to 2002 in Organic farming, is now managing about 30 Ha of vines, all the cellar work is done in an old building recording to be producing wines in a natural gravity process for almost 300 years.

  • Appellation: Cahors AOC

  • Grapes: Malbec 90%, Merlot 10%

  • Soil: Chalk mainly, at 300m above sea level, on the historical place of Côt (Malbec). Wind from South-East blowing and helping to slow the temperature and achieve perfect ripening.

  • Format: 75cl

  • Alcohol: 14,5%

  • Aging: Drink now till 2035+

  • Serving: 16—18°C

  • Pairing: Perfect on local cuisine such as cassoulet, duck confit, duck magret, lamb or beef T-bone & rib-eye. Can work well also on mushrooms or lentils stew & eggplant dishes.
