Alain Voge - Saint Péray - Les Bulles d'Alain
A great example that all the best sparkling are not always Champagne!
We find here an excellent price value special sparkling from a top producer, in a famous appellation for traditional method in the south.
This Saint Péray is floral, fruity and complex, with jasmin, pear, apricot as well as exotic fruits, the full potential of Marsanne is shown in this bottles, with hint of spiced bread, grilled almonds and herbs.
On the palette, the bubbles is light and vibrant, some more aromatic from the orchard are mixed with spices revealed by the long aging like saffron and licorice. The final is longue, mineral and tense.

Wine Making: Slightly early hand harvest (early september) to keep freshness, direct press with full clusters Traditional method, first fermentation in stainless steel and concrete tanks.
