Not one place but a scattering of small vineyards across seventeen cantons, mostly on sunny south-facing slopes in the north and east — including Aargau, right on your doorstep. Pinot Noir (here called Blauburgunder) dominates the reds; Müller-Thurgau (Or Riesling-Sylvaner) leads the whites. Graubünden's Bündner Herrschaft makes some of Switzerland's most serious Pinot Noir. The most relevant region for your Zurich customers. Roughly 2,600 ha combined, 64% reds, with 50% Pinot Noir overall, followed by 15% of Müller-Thurgau.
Aargau, near home, has around 400 ha under vine.
