Fresh, dry whites from the rolling land between two rivers.

"Between two seas" — actually the tidal Garonne and Dordogne — this large, green, hilly area is best known for crisp dry Sauvignon-Sémillon whites, with plenty of everyday red sold as Bordeaux AOC. A good hunting ground for honest, affordable, increasingly organic bottles.

The whites are almost always dry.
